iSelect Gold Coast Titans stars Will Zillman, Ashley Harrison and Aidan Sezer today skydived onto Surfers Paradise beach in a spectacular unveiling of the clubs sleek new BLK home and away jerseys for 2014.
As the name of the jersey manufacturer suggests, the trio literally went to Beyond Limits Known thanks to the Australian Parachute Federation in order to reveal the uniquely designed playing strips for 2014 in what marks the start of the iSelect Titans new five-year partnership with BLK.
The unveiling of the jerseys coincided with todays launch of the clubs official online shop the Titans Team Store where Titans Members can pre-order the 2014 jerseys at a special discounted price of $99.95 for a limited time, which is a $30 discount on the recommended retail price of $129.95.
The jerseys can also be purchased at the discounted price through the Titans Merchandise Store at Pacific Fair with pre-orders being taken from today in order to arrive before Christmas.
The new jerseys have been created in BLKs newly formulated Exotek fabric, which has been designed and developed exclusively by BLK to enhance athlete performance. Exotek is the strongest, lightest, most breathable fabric ever utilized by BLK.
BLK presented over 30 jersey designs to the Titans and worked closely with the club and its fans throughout this process. The new design was chosen due to its simplicity based on a more traditional look, which allows the colours to really stand out.
The iSelect Titans original iconic colours remain, representing the Gold Coast lifestyle of surf (light blue), sun (gold) and sand (white).
Other features of the new jerseys are:
- Lycra underarm gusset which allows more stretch and movement
- Lycra neck that fits the player better
- Internal lycra band in sleeve for stretch around the arms
- Internal gel waistband hem which prevents the jersey from riding up
- Herringbone back neck tape which provides reinforced strength
BLK Chief Executive Officer Tyron Brant said it was pleasing to reveal the new jerseys after many months of design and consultation with the Titans.
"We consulted a wide range of players, officials and fans during the design process and on their advice, coupled with the skills of the BLK design team, we are confident the new playing strip embraces Rugby Leagues steep traditions, whilst continuing to represent the vibrancy of the Gold Coast. I'm confident it will be a real hit with the Clubs fans," said Brant.
