Inaugural iSelect Titans forward Mark Minichiello will captain the side in tomorrow's opening trial match against the New Zealand Warriors at North Harbour Stadium, Albany (1pm AEST time).
The iSelect Titans' most capped player in history and the most experienced member of the squad picked for the club's first-up assignment, Minichiello will lead the team out for the first time in 2014.
In other team news, winger Steve Michaels was this morning ruled out of tomorrow's clash as a precautionary measure due to hamstring tightness at the team's final lead-up session at North Harbour Stadium.
His withdrawal is likely to see Knights recruit Siuatonga Likiliki switch from the centres to the wing, with former Storm centre Maurice Blair promoted from the interchange bench into the starting centres alongside Brad Tighe.
