In its sixth year, the Philips Sports Dad of the Year highlights 10 elite athletes across a broad range of sporting fields, giving insights into how they juggle fatherhood with their sporting commitments.
Other finalists include Australian cricket star Shane Watson, Melbourne Storm forward Ryan Hoffman, Sea Eagles hooker Matt Ballin, hockey player Jamie Dwyer, ironman extraordinaire Shannon Eckstein, Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge, Kangeroo's Brent Harvey and Sydney FC's Alex Brosque.
Mark and wife Milena have three boys under four years of age – Luca, 3, Leo, 2, and Rocco, 1 – and ‘Mini’ loves spending time with them away from footy and the community work he does with the Titans.
The award recognises sporting fathers who make positive impressions in the community with the winner donating $5,000 to his charity of choice.
Voting ends on Tuesday, September 2, and the Philips Sports Dad of the Year winner will be announced on Father’s Day, Sunday, September 7.
