Aidan Sezer was not needed to land the winning field goal against the Bulldogs but he knows he is needed to continue the work ethic legacy left by Mark Minichiello, Luke Bailey and Ashley Harrison.
Sezer, who had a rare off day with the boot on Sunday, was running onto the field when fellow left-footer William Zillman dropped the field goal that gave the Titans just their third win in 16 games against Sezer's former club, the finals-bound Bulldogs.
He paid tribute to the retiring heroes after the match.
