The Aquis Titans have looked at extensive video of Greg Bird's tackle that attracted attention from the video review committee and will contest the charge's severity.
Bird was served a grade 2 careless high tackle charge for his 17th minute tackle on Sharks five-eigth James Maloney on Sunday which attacted 131 points for an early plea, which means he would serve a one-match suspension.
The Titans feel they have another evidence to argue the charge should be downgraded to grade one and if successful that would clear the way for the Australian Test lock to play against the Dragons at Cbus Super Stadium this Saturday.
We will take the case to the judiciary meeting tomorrow evening.
