Students at schools, childcare centres and libraries across Australia will put on a hat and take part in a simultaneous storytime tomorrow to foster a love of reading.
Among those taking part will be Trinity Lutheran College and Nerang State School, which will have Gold Coast Titans players Kane Elgey and Matt Srama reading this year’s text, I Got This Hat by Kate and Jol Temple at 11am.
National Simultaneous Storytime is now in its 16th successful year it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event. Organised by the Australian Library and Information Association to promote the importance of early childhood literacy, Australia's book industry and the role of libraries.
