Week one of pre-season is officially done and dusted.

Players opened the 2017 pre-season training campaign at the club's brand-new High Performance Centre at Parkwood International and welcomed new faces to the squad including recruit Jarrod Wallace.

It was the first time Nathan Peats, Jarryd Hayne and Konrad Hurrell had experienced a Gold Coast pre-season and the trio pushed through every drill as they continue to acclimatise to the new conditions.

The side went off-site mid-week, to North Burleigh headland.

There, Nathan Peats and a trim looking Tyrone Roberts led from the front throughout the hill sprints, while the big fellas at the back pushed themselves through the pain to make it to the top every time.

It doesn't get any easier for the side with pre-season set to ramp up again over the coming weeks before the Christmas break.

In the new year fellow new recruits Kevin Proctor and Dan Sarginson will join the squad for the first time following stints with New Zealand and England respectively, in the Four Nations Tournament in England.
