Gold Coast Titans, Team of the Decade.
Position: WINGS
For the past decade, the Titans left and right edges have been blessed with some serious strike power!
There are two common traits amongst this week’s nominees for Titans ‘Wing of the Decade’, speed and freakish try scoring ability.
For years, David Mead and Kevin Gordon ripped through some of the best defensive patterns and left some of the games quickest and more experienced campaigners in their wake as they dominated on the wing for the club, forming a dynamic duo that Titans fans couldn’t get enough of!
Both were identified as naturally gifted speedsters at an early age, Mead’s agility and acceleration undeniable, while Gordon was considered home as soon as he had broken into open space.
Joining these two speedsters as nominees this week is the ever-reliable William Zillman, and the high flying try scoring machine Anthony Don.
Zillman has proudly represented the Titans on a whopping 141 occasions. Nominated last week at fullback, Zillman is one of the club’s most versatile and reliable backline players.
In contrast, Anthony Don, a late bloomer in regards to his NRL career has gained a reputation for his freakish aerial skills, scoring 40 tries in just 66 appearances for the club.
So who will be your choice for the Gold Coast Titans winger of the decade?
The agile Mead, speedy Gordon, consistent Zillman or the high flyer Don?
