In this week’s Aquis Community wrap the club invited Down Sydnrome Association Queensland (DSAQ) to both our game against the Canberra Raiders on Saturday and our Easter School Clinic Clinic!
This was an exciting week for DSAQ as over 100 of their members attended our Saturday match event against the Raiders but most importantly, 20 lucky children got to run with players from both teams out onto the field! That is certainly something to remember!
With Easter around the corner and half way through the school holidays, the Aquis Easter School Holiday clinic at the TFH High Performance Centre was the place to be on Monday. DSAQ kids had a ball training with the whole Titans squad. The Easter bunny made a special public appearance just for the children!
The Easter School Holiday clinic is another initiative from Aquis to make a difference to the community. This session was specially focused on DSAQ members to raise awareness of down syndrome with the broader community and enhance social inclusion for people with Down Syndrome, enabling them to engage with their mainstream peers through a shared love and passion of rugby league.
With thanks to Aquis here at the Titans we're able to continue to do amazing work with Schools and community groups every week and provide them with these money can't buy experiences!
Keep an eye out every week for the Aquis Community Wrap and see all the amazing community groups, schools and footy clubs that are getting involved!
