To help launch the 2017 10 Year Anniversary Gala Charity Ball we invited along a number of the 'Team oif the Decade' nominees that will also be recognised on the night.
Ashley Harrison is nominated for the lock position and is a favourite to take out the number 13 award.
ASHLEY HARRISON
Harrison had already achieved plenty in his career before joining the Titans. Australian schoolboy appearances in 1998 showed glimpses of his talent before winning the premiership in his first professional season with the Broncos side of 2000. Stints with the Rabbitohs and Roosters followed, with his first Origin selection coming in this period.
A move back to the sunshine state beckoned, and Ash joined the Gold Coast Titans in 2008. Mostly featuring at lock, Harrison’s versatility saw him play five-eighth occasionally, covering Mat Rogers. Further Queensland selections ensued as Harrison racked up 117 games for the Titans. Sadly, in 2014 Harrison announced his retirement earlier than expected due to a neck injury. Harrison works with fellow former Titans Luke O’Dwyer and Scott Prince promoting junior league through their Little Leagies program.
