TFH Gold Coast Titans Head Coach Garth Brennan has named his first squad at the helm of the club, for the trial match against the Brisbane Broncos at Clive Berghofer Stadium, Toowoomba, on Saturday night.
The match, to be played at 6.30pm, will see a number of new recruits pull on a Titans jersey for the
first time, whilst a number of the club’s senior squad members will be rested. Brendan Elliot, Kiah
Cooper, Brenko Lee, Leilani Latu, Jai Whitbread, Bryce Cartwright and Tony Matautia will all take
part in the match whilst Brennan has also included a number of players from Burleigh Bears and
Tweed Seagulls to have a run with the squad.
A host of young guns, including Alexander Brimson, Jai Whitbread and Matautia will get their first
taste of NRL football and will be looking to impress.
With the Titans to hold a second trial next weekend on the Sunshine Coast, it is expected that all
available players will take part in that match, as a final hit-out ahead of round one.
