The TFH Gold Coast Titans are pleased to confirm the signing of Tyrone Peachey, from the Penrith Panthers, for three seasons, commencing in 2019.
Peachey was originally contracted with the Panthers until the end of 2019, but was given permission by the club to explore his options.
The 26-year-old has played 92 NRL matches and also represented City Origin and the Indigenous All-Stars.
Having worked with Peachey previously, Head Coach Garth Brennan is excited about having the Wellington junior on the Gold Coast.
“Tyrone is a player that is versatile and also very skilful,” Brennan said. “He is a player that when he gets the ball in his hands, people in the crowd stand up and watch.
“He’s been on the edge of higher representative honours and I think he will add another dimension to this side in 2019.
“I’m looking forward to him joining the club next year.”
CEO Graham Annesley is pleased with the addition of Peachey to the 2019 squad.
“Although Tyrone won’t be with us until next season, his signing demonstrates the club has a long-term plan for success,” Annesley said.
“This is another major coup for the club and is a further indication that quality experienced players recognise the tremendous potential of the Titans.”
