Over the past few weeks the TFH Gold Coast Titans have certainly racked up the hours, travelling a total of 1,512 kilometres between the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Gladstone in Central Queensland.
Utilising 21 Players, Coach Garth Brennan’s troops bounced back from the on-field disappointment against the Dragons in Toowoomba, recording a thrilling victory over the Manly Sea Eagles in Gladstone.
In total, 12,432 locals purchased tickets to attend the very first NRL matches to be held in their respective towns, however the biggest winners were the regions junior rugby league fans with Titans players committing ninety-six hours of their time to functions, visits and clinics across the local communities.
Above and beyond their regular training commitments and match day preparations, your TFH Gold Coast Titans players attended a series of corporate functions and civic receptions, were guests at numerous Tourism Events Queensland Promotions, completed a number of very well received hospital visits and made two extremely successful and well received and sold out Junior Rugby League Clinics.
While the entire team are very much looking forward to getting back to the Gold Coast and running out at Cbus Super Stadium, taking NRL matches and promoting the game in regional centres has been an incredibly rewarding opportunity for all involved.
The Titans take on the Sharks at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday the 28th April with kick off at 5:30pm.
