Titans forward Jarrod Wallace has expressed his disappointment after last week's performance and called on his fellow forwards to help the young halves, allowing them to play with some confidence.
Wallace deemed the final 20 minutes against the Newcastle Knights as unacceptable and wants to rectify that this Sunday at Cbus Super Stadium against the New Zealand Warriors.
The Warriors travel to Cbus Super Stadium with an impeccable record, having won the last seven matches at the venue and they're coming to our home in pretty good form.
"We haven't spoken about them too much," Wallace said. "We need to focus week in week out to finish the year strongly.
"The way we finished last week was disappointing. We've got a few home games ahead so that'll be good.
"Yeah, they're going well and playing outstanding footy. They're a different side to what we've seen over the last few years.
"They're playing good footy and when they're firing on all cylinders, they're a hard team to stop."
Halfback Ash Taylor has been copping a bit of heat lately but Wallace know it's up to him and his fellow middle men to lay a platform that both Taylor and AJ Brimson can play off the back of.
"He's been going alright, he just needs to play with confidence.
"He's only a young kid, he's only played 50-odd games so to get the team around the park and then have his own confidence is hard to juggle.
"Us forwards in the middle need to help him by laying the platform and then he can play with confidence.
"I think he (Taylor) needs to focus on us and not everything else in the outside world. He's got young AJ there with him so they are a young pairing who are steering us around."
