Following the announcement of Kane Elgey's signing with the Manly Sea-Eagles for season 2019 and 2020, we sat down with the Tugun junior to talk about the move south.
Elgey admits he hasn't had the greatest of year's but after spending time with the Tweed Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup, the 24-year-old has found his love for the game again.
"It was heartbreaking at the start but it was good to work with Ben Woolf," Elgey said.
"I think at one stage we won seven in a row and it was good to get some confidence. I was generally happier as well."
The move to Manly will give Elgey a similar lifestyle to what he has here on the Gold Coast, which was definitely a factor in the decision.
"It's a good part of the world and we'll be able to live near the water. I've got a few friends down there as well so it should make the transition a little easier.
