They're the suburban grounds that all players love to play at with Brookvale Oval being no exception to that and prop Jarrod Wallace is looking forward to being part of the hostile environment that is all part of the fun.
Friday night's match against the Sea-Eagles will actually be the first time Wallace has played at Brookvale Oval and it's something he loves being a part of.
"It'll be my first time at Brookvale actually and it was my first time at Leichardt as well," Wallace said. "It was a great crowd down there on that Sunday afternoon and I expect Friday night at Brookie will be no different.
"It's actually really good, there is a bit of banter, a bit of hostility when you're coming of the fence from the kick-off. I like to have a bit of a joke with them.
"It's all a bit of fun, that's the best part of footy. They don't support you but are happy to high-five you after the game."
Aside from the crowd on Friday night, Wallace will have another battle to tackle throughout the match with Manly forward Marty Taupau always a handful to control. Of course the Origin forward is looking forward to the challenge.
"Oh yeah, I can't wait," Wallace laughed. "He's huge and it'll be a big battle in the middle. They've got Fonua-Blake as well and some size coming off the bench.
"If we don't stop them in the middle, Cherry and that will have a field day out the back, so we've got a tough job ahead of us at Brookie on Friday night."
