The Gold Coast Titans are pleased to announce that Treymain Spry has today signed a two-year contract with the club, through until the end of season 2020.
The Ipswich product joined the club late last year on a train-and-trial agreement, and has impressed the entire club since his arrival, both on the field and in the gym.
Spry spent 2018 as part of the Sydney Roosters’ Jersey Flegg side before deciding to move back to southeast Queensland to further his rugby league career.
The 19-year-old has excelled since his arrival, and is keen to continue his NRL apprenticeship at the club.
Coach Garth Brennan said Spry deserved to be rewarded for his efforts through the pre-season.
“Treymain arrived at the club a little later than everyone else, but has made every post a winner since joining the full-time squad,” Brennan said.
“For an outside back and someone so young, he has great strength and he hasn’t backed down from any challenge handed to him throughout the pre-season.
“I look forward to continuing to work with him over the course of the year.”
Spry is now the 29th member of the Titans’ 2019 NRL playing squad.
