Gold Coast may have taken out the wooden spoon last year but with a new coach at the helm, a few rising stars could become Fantasy bargains in 2020.
As we count down to the start of the NRL Fantasy season, we reveal the starting player prices and preview the key players from all 16 NRL clubs.
AJ Brimson
Winger/fullback, half, $462,000
Still just 21, Brimson has been one of the bright lights at the Gold Coast in recent years and has plenty of improvement left in him. His Fantasy scoring actually declined in 2019 – dropping from 40 points a game the previous year down to 31.5 – but that was largely due to a change of role with five games off the bench for the wooden spooners. He also had just four tries in 21 games after scoring seven times in 15 matches in 2018. It remains to be seen how new coach Justin Holbrook will use him but Brimson is a big talent and if made one of the focal points of the Titans' attack his scoring could easily climb upwards of 45 points a game.

Moeaki Fotuaika
Front-rower, $578,000
One middle forward who is on the rise at the Titans is Fotuaika, who stepped up in the absence of James to shine in a side featuring State of Origin players Jai Arrow and Jarrod Wallace and former Test big man Shannon Boyd. Fotuaika averaged 40.3 points across 21 games last season but his game time increased as the year went on, playing more than 55 minutes six times and averaging 50 in those matches. If he can push his average towards 50 he could be a gem in the front row at his price tag.
