The National Rugby League has today confirmed the Gold Coast Titans’ opponents for Rounds 3 and 4 of the competition.
Since returning to training on May 4, all clubs have been waiting in anticipation to know who they will be playing when the competition restarts, and on what day.
The NRL and broadcasters had agreed on a resumption of play from Thursday 28 May but until today, clubs have been unaware of their opposition.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the NRL has been unable to confirm the playing venues for each game, but have confirmed that the Titans will take on the North Queensland Cowboys on Friday 29 May at 6:00pm in Round 3 and then the Round 4 match will be against Wests Tigers on Sunday 7 June at 6:30pm.
The dates now give Titans players and staff a clear indication on how to best prepare for matches with every day between now and kick-off needed to get back into peak physical condition.
Titans Head Coach Justin Holbrook spoke earlier in the week around needing some certainty around the draw.
“It’d be nice to know who we’re playing and on what day,” he said.
“We’ve only got two full weeks and then we’re going into a game week so as long as we know so, it’ll be ok.
“It’s great to get the game back on, so I’m happy.”
