The Titans farewell one of their most endearing figures.
As Club Captain, Ryan James has played an important role in the Club’s evolution both on and off-field.
James will head to the Canberra Raiders for the 2021 season and in wishing him well for the next stage of his career, the Titans want to acknowledge the impact he has had on the Club and our community.
Titans’ CEO Steve Mitchell says despite battling serious knee injuries over the last few years, Ryan’s work in our community programs has made a significant contribution to our position as a club away from the field.
“Ryan gave his all on the field, but he has also given just as much off it.
“Not unlike Preston Campbell, Ryan has developed into a community leader helping drive inclusion and social improvement outcomes.
“At this stage of his career, Ryan and his family obviously had to decide what is best for them and that means a fresh start at the Raiders.
“He moves on with our complete support and best wishes.”
James leaves the Titans having played 144 games since making his debut in 2010.
