Tonight, one of these men will celebrate 100 games for their club and the other arrives with a point to prove.
Ash Taylor and Anthony Milford with both play key roles in the result for their respective sides tonight.
Tickets: Titans v Broncos - Macca's Local Derby
Taylor started his career at the Broncos with one game and 23 minutes before an injury ended his NRL debut - it would be the only time he would pull on a Broncos jersey, before joining the Gold Coast Titans the following year.
He has had a rollercoaster ride during his time on the Coast, but under Justin Holbrook in 2020 Taylor moved to the number six jersey and flourished under the Titans style of play.
With Jamal Fogarty picking up the traditional halfback and team organiser role, Taylor is able to play 'eyes up' football.
"Justo (Holbrook) has been great, he just tells me to go out there and play footy and play with my eyes and not get stuck in the textbook," he said.
"When Justo goes out there and gives you clear instructions on how he wants you to play, it just makes it easier."
On the other side of the park Anthony Milford now has a coach who got the best out of him in the five eighth position in Kevin Walters.
When the Broncos were at their recent peak in 2015, making the NRL Grand Final, Milford was at his best and under the tutelage of then Assistant Coach and current Broncos Head Coach, Kevin Walters.
After showing positive signs last week, Milford and the Broncos faded in the second half, but the Titans will be wary of the game breaking ability of the Broncos main man.
Whatever happens tonight you can be sure that these two men will have a big say on the outcome of the game.
