For many there's 99 problems, but for Mitch there's one.
Mitch Rein is focussed on the one percenters - simplifying his efforts over the early rounds to ensure he has a big 2021.
The Titans hooker has had two strong games against the Warriors and Broncos, but says it's about getting the basics right over the early rounds.
"At the start of the year you're just trying to get the simple things right so I've been focussing on that and trying to get my defence right.
"I'm just trying to improve week by week and at the start of the year the footy is so slippery in these conditions so I'm just trying to work on the simple things and the one percenters.
While Rein has locked down the starting hooker position to start the season, he knows there's competition for the #9 jersey.
"There's a few guys keeping me on my toes that are playing really good," he said.
"We've got Erin (Clark) coming on and doing an awesome job, he is quite versatile and covers a few positions.
"We're getting a lot out of having competition and we've got competition all over the park for spots and that's making us stronger.
After a third-straight win against the Broncos in round two, the Titans now focus on another local derby clash, this time against the Cowboys.
Rein says the playing squad knows they need to build on the result against Brisbane and that starts with a victory in Townsville this week.
"It's only been two rounds and we've still got so much work to do," he said.
"Round one we were way off from where we want to be and last week was a step in the right direction.
"We want to keep building and I think we're on the right path to do that.
"Hopefully we can keep building from week to week and be there at the end of the year."
The Titans return home for clashes in rounds four and five against the Canberra Raiders and Newcastle Knights at Cbus Super Stadium, with tickets available for both games.
