Coach's Last Word: Titans want to make home fans proud

The Titans have a strong record at Cbus Super Stadium in recent times, and returning to play in front of the Legion has coach Justin Holbrook excited.

"These are the games that we want to win and we know that, every game is important," he said.

"We aren't worrying about this as do or die and that type of stuff because as we showed last year we got on a run at the end of the year.

"We don't to leave it late, I'm not here offering up an out for tomorrow, we are desperate to play well in front of our home fans.

"We play well every home game, we got run down against Souths but we had a couple of injuries that night, but outside of that the last day game was against Newcastle and we had a good win.

"We want to be proud of our performance in front of our home fans and that is our main focus rather than the importance of this game for our season."

Holbrook expects his side to line up as named for the round 11 clash against the Bulldogs, with co-captain Kevin Proctor pulling up well after a knee complaint last round.

"It's good, he is not 100 percent but he is always in a good enough position to play so he'll play tomorrow," Holbrook said.

After playing nine times in 2020, Sam Stone returns to the side for the first time this season.

"Whenever he (Stone) plays for us he plays really well," Holbrook said.

"The back end of last year he was playing well for us when we got the wins together.

"He got injured a training a while back at Burleigh but he has had a game and he was 18th man last week so if he just plays the way he normally does for us he never lets us down and he will be good to have in our side."

The Bulldogs will be hoping for their second win of the season, but the Titans coach says they'll take plenty of confidence out of an improved performance in Magic Round last week.

"I thought they were probably the better side last week against the Raiders and didn't win and they'll come up here thinking we were close last week and we want to win this week.

"We are well prepared for that and we've just got to make sure we play well ourselves to get the win tomorrow."
