Beau wanting more in 2022

While some of his team-mates will have a nice quiet off-season, there is plenty happening for Titans second rower Beau Fermor.

"I've got my bucks party, wedding and honeymoon in the off-season, so it'll be a busy one," Fermor said.

The 23-year-old will fit in some down time in between getting married as he recovers from his biggest NRL season to date.

Fermor played 15 games in 2021, finishing the year as the Titans starting back-rower.

"I started a bit slow and started the year as 18th man for the first few weeks and played a few weeks for Burleigh," Fermor said.

"I slowly worked my way into the team and played a few games off the bench and in the centres and in and out of the starting side a bit.

"The last six weeks of the season I locked down a starting spot and I think I finished the season really well on a personal note and I'm looking forward to building that form into the 2022 season."

Part of an exciting young core group of players at the Titans, Fermor says a taste of finals in 2021 has him wanting more.

"I wish it (my highlight) was saying winning a finals game, but I think playing in the finals and playing well was a highlight," he said.

"It was obviously still disappointing not to win the game but to play in an NRL finals series in my second year of NRL was a highlight for me."

Fermor gets it down just before the break

"I think we've got a good core group of players and we can just continue to build.

"We can go further than we did this year and we can build consistent success at the club.

"I'm looking forward to getting back out in front of the fans and continuing to get better and get plenty of wins hopefully."

After finishing in the NRL finals for the first time in five seasons, Fermor says fans and Members should expect the squad to improve further into 2022.

"We play an exciting brand of footy that's always good to watch," he said.

"We showed at the back end of the year what we can produce and I think with another pre-season under our belt to fine tune combinations it is going to be an exciting year.

"We've got an young squad so it is exciting for the future.

"It's always exciting to have plenty of Members and fans at the games and hopefully COVID depending we can interact more with our Members in the 2022 season which we all love to do."
