Titans ready to roll according to Wallace

Jarrod Wallace is into his 11th NRL pre-season.

One of the Titans most experienced players, the veteran prop says he is feeling energised but the young squad around him.

With a young spine and competition for spots, Wallace says the young group are bringing the energy and enthusiasm needed in pre-season.

"I just want to get in and have a good pre-season and keep building on what we built last year," Wallace said.

"We bring guys like Jayden Campbell and AJ Brimson into the halves and give Toby Sexton a full pre-season to build those connections ... and watching Tanah Boyd and Erin Clark go at it in the nine jersey and working on those positions is exciting.

"There is so much hype around the club and around the team and with new faces, it is the best part about pre-season because football feels like it is forever away but it really is not that far away when we start training."

Wallace says the Titans side is determined to go further into the finals in 2022, after returning to the top eight last season.

"For me we have just got to keep working on what we've got here," Wallace said.

"We need to have another good year.

"We had a good year last year but now we want to make sure we are going deeper into the finals and being more of a consistent team.

"That means we're not dipping through the middle half of the season like we did last year."
