Out of the headline games Jasmine Peters played last season, the All Stars clash all but topped the list.
Debuting for the Indigenous women's side in the 2021 encounter played in Townsville, the 19-year-old back can't wait to represent her heritage again after being announced as one of 10 Titans set to make the trek to Sydney in just under a fortnight for the annual occasion.
"[Last year's game] was definitely an eye opener," Peters said.
"I'm very excited to be selected again, especially since it is something different from representing Queensland.
"I'm actually representing my culture and where I have come from, especially my mum’s side of the family.
"I guess it hits home a little more than the other games I've played in."
The Titans NRLW youngster's family heritage is quite diverse. Her dad is of Filipino descent and her mum hails Badu Island, a tiny community located in the Torres Strait.
The ability to represent both cultures but in particular, her mum's Indigenous heritage is what makes the match-up against the Maoris even more special.
"It's amazing to represent both of them, and I'm proud to be able to represent my mum’s heritage on the biggest stage," Peters said.
"I think it is more just the fact that I am representing half of my family and it's same for the rest of the girls as well.
"Spending a full week immersed in your culture and sharing your story amongst the group and hearing everyone else's story is just truly special."
A North Queensland local, Peters has been selected alongside fellow Gold Stars and new Titans teammate Shaniah Power, with the QRLW pairing set to line up outside each other once again like in last year's clash.
"It is really good to play alongside Shaniah," Peters said.
"We are pretty much the duo on the outside and to keep that combination is really good, especially now that we have had the year to both play.
"We know what we prefer and what we don't."
The All Stars selection has kick-started what is hoping to be a bumper 2022 for the Queensland under 19 representative, who is relishing her inaugural NRLW season on the Gold Coast.
“At this stage, I think my first goal is just to make the starting squad for the Titans," Peters said.
From then on, I'll probably try to lock down that centre position again for the Gold Stars [in the QRLW] and see what happens from there."
Peters and the rest of the selected Titans will join the All Stars camp on Monday.
