Gold Coast Titans leader Brittany Breayley-Nati has been named this season's captain of the year at the NRLW Awards held tonight.
No stranger to receiving gongs on the women's rugby league night of nights as the game's inaugural NRLW player of the year in 2018, the inspirational skipper said the honour is just as special as her Dally M success five years ago.
"It's a huge honour to lead such a diverse group of girls around the park and I'm extremely grateful to get this award. It's up there with my Dally M I reckon," Breayley-Nati said.
Reflecting on her time leading the Gold Coast's inaugural season, the crafty hooker is still eternally grateful for the chance to have the 'c' next to her name.
"I literally wasn't expecting [the captaincy]. There's a group of girls that I would trust to lead our team around the park and to get that on top of those girls... it means heaps to me," Breayley-Nati said.
"You've got leaders out there like Steph Hancock that have been around the game for ages.
"To lead such a young team as well. Knowing they can look up to me and hopefully be inspired by myself and what I can do and offer to the team is definitely humbling."
Her favourite moment of the season by far has been beating the Broncos in the club's first ever home game at Cbus Super Stadium.
"Being on home soil as the first ever Titans team in our first ever home game against the Broncos in the Queensland derby and to come away with the win... nothing is better than that," Breayley-Nati said.
"It was only by two points, but a win's a win, right?
"It was obviously amazing and it was good to actually have my kids in the crowd and they were able to witness history."

The honour tops off a big day for the 31-year-old, who was also named in the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons extended squad after withdrawing from last year's Origin match due to work commitments.
"Last year I was selected in the squad but I actually had to stand down because of work. In 2020, I actually worked from camp for the two weeks, so I wasn't able to back it up and do it again just given my workload," Breayley-Nati explained.
"So to get the call up again from [Tahnee Norris] and the coaching staff really means a lot to me and this time round, I'm repping a new last name.
"If I do get the opportunity to play in the Queensland jersey, I'll give it my all because the Maroon jersey means a lot to me as it does for everyone else that plays in it, so I can't wait."
Fellow Gold Coast Titan Shaniah Power also celebrated success with the try of the year award for her barnstorming four-pointer against the Broncos in Round 4 at home.
