The Gold Coast Titans have kicked off their inaugural netball season in style, with the 2022 Sapphire and Ruby seasons officially launched at "The Club" at Parkwood.
After months of pre-season training, the Titans will begin their campaigns in both competitions on ANZAC day.
The first official Gold Coast teams were announced, with the 10 playing players presented their Titans dresses ahead of round one.
With Dakota Newson, Darcie Davies and Talitah Faifai missing with Queensland duties, three training partners (Leigh Alder, Abby Boland and Ellie Muir) will make their Titans debuts in the opening round.
Ruby Series Coach Victor Potaka says he's thrilled with how the young side has gelled after coming together as a team only a few months ago.
"They don't know their own potential yet and it is really humbling to work alongside some really inspiring women," he said.
"They're going to kill it this season."
The players were presented their dresses by Titans co-owners Rebecca and Brett Frizelle and Darryl and Joanne Kelly.
Representatives from Netball Queensland and the local Gold Coast associations joined delegates from the City of Gold Coast and other commercial partners to congratulate the players.
Titans Sapphire Series Head Coach Temepara Bailey announced that Kristen Oxenford will captain her side in 2022, while Peta Coles will take the reigns for the Ruby team.
