3. Kris Kahler
With the Titans running from left to right in the first half, it was Preston Campbell who got the first touch of the footy down the Caxton Street end, before passing off to front row forward Kris Kahler, who took the first carry in the Gold Coast's inaugural match.

5. Titans 18 defeated by Dragons 20
In a hard-fought battle, the Titans fell to the Dragons in their first match, but still had plenty of fans leaving the stands or at home, proud of the new club that just kicked off.
Locked up 6-6 at the break, St George shot away to a 20-6 lead in the first 15 minutes of the second half, before the courageous Titans mounted a mighty comeback effort, clawing back 14 points, falling just a mere penalty goal short of matching their opposition that day.
