Treymain Spry has returned to Titans HQ in good spirits after recovering from an off-field incident earlier in the year.
Being given the green light to resume light duties on the training field, the 22-year-old has begun a modified program under an extended train-and-trial deal, with an intent to return to contact training and game play by the end of the season.
Spry, who is of Torres Strait Islander descent, will also help deliver education and wellbeing programs across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers areas through the Titans’ Community team
Titans chief executive Steve Mitchell is glad to see Treymain back at training.
“Alongside his work with our high-performance staff to return to full fitness, I’m really excited to see Treymain with the opportunity to be out and about making a difference among our regions, helping deliver key education and wellbeing programs with our Community team.”
“It’s great to have him return and us as a club able to support him through his recovery as he aims to get back playing the game we all love.
“Our Purpose is to make our communities proud and it’s great for Treymain to use his influence as a player to help deliver key messaging in Titans’ Community programs as he continues his recovery.”
Spry will continue to work with the club with the hope of returning to the field in the new year.
