It's a very important time in the calendar with it being NAIDOC Week, a chance to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Gold Coast Titans has seen 34 Indigenous players represent the club during it's time in the NRL, which has included five First Nations captains who have proudly led the club on and off the field.
To celebrate NAIDOC Week, Titans.com.au reflects on the five most-capped Indigenous players who helped play a part in shaping the club to what it is today.
Preston Campbell
Titan No. 1, Preston Campbell is a legend in his own right. An inspiration to not only plenty of Indigenous people, but to the community worldwide, the speedy fullback was a foundation member of the Gold Coast, coming to the club in 2007 and played 103 games in Titans colours.
In his five years as one of the superstars that helped pack out Cbus Super Stadium each week, the champion scored 15 tries and kicked 30 goals in an illustrious career spanning 267 first grade games overall.
Campbell still plays a very active role to this day in helping shape the Gold Coast Titans as well as being the proud father of the first second generation Titan, Jayden.
Scott Prince
As a foundation Titan joining the club in 2007, Scott Prince was a proud Indigenous player everyone loved to watch.
A co-captain of the club for many year, the champion playmaker played 124 games in Gold Coast colours and was a prolific points scorer during that time - also holding many club records even to this day.
During his time, he crossed the white stripe on 32 occasions, as well as kicking 293 goals, for a combined total 719 points scored for the club during his tenure.
Prince also still currently has many of the Gold Coast Titans' individual records, such as the person with the most points scored (603), most points in a match (20) and most points in a season (182).
Ryan James
A barnstorming forward who never let his teammates down, James is the most capped Indigenous Titan with 144 games to his name from 2010 - 2019. During that time, the champion enforcer scored 30 tries.
The proud Bundjalung man grew up in Tweed Heads and played his junior footy with the Bilambil Jets, before going to school at Palm Beach Currumbin.
The champion prop has also represented the Indigenous All Stars on six occasions.
Ash Taylor
Coming to the Titans in 2016, Taylor played all but one of his 115 NRL games in Gold Coast colours.
A classy half in his own right, he came up with 18 tries and 130 goals in his six years with the club, adding to a pinpoint kicking game he had that helped steer his side around the park.
The proud Yuwaalaraay and Munanjali man was a proud Indigenous representative hailing from Toowoomba and retired from playing earlier this year due to injury.
Greg Bird
The second most-capped Indigenous Titan behind Ryan James, Bird played 129 games after joining the Gold Coast from the Cronulla Sharks in 2010
The crafty utility who could play a vast number of positions scored 17 tries and kicked 20 goals during his playing days with the Titans, as well as co-captaining the club in 2013.
The dynamic forward also played five games for the Indigenous All Stars from 2010-2015.
