Phil Sami's mid-season switch from the wing to centre has proven to be a successful one for the Titans flyer.
First lining up in his coveted junior position in Magic Round, the 25-year-old has played in that position exclusively in his six games following that, although did miss a bulk of games due to a knee injury.
"I really enjoy it. I played there growing up in the Under 20s junior system and it's good playing centre," Sami said.
"You get more involved, more tackling and I've played more centre than I have wing this year which has been pretty good.
"It's a different kind of fitness to playing on the wing. Obviously, it's more contact as to where on the wing, you're doing a lot of high speed running.
They are different positions and I like to think I can play both really well, so wherever I play, I'll be happy."
The bounce favours Sami
Breaking their string of weeks without a win on the weekend, it has set the platform for his side to finish the remainder of the season strong leading into next year.
"It was good to get the win. We hadn't won in 10 weeks," Sami said.
"It's a good feeling to get that win and hopefully we can back it up this week with us having three games left. Last week was a good start to finishing strong with our last four games.
"At the end of day, it has been a disappointing season and that we're not going to be in the finals, but if we can finish strong into next year, that'll be good."
The Gold Coast will get a further boost for their upcoming clash against the Dragons with the return of captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, who missed last Sunday's game due to the birth of his second daughter.

"Obviously Tino is our captain, he's a leader and it's good to have him back this week," Sami said.
"He's definitely going to boost the team, so hopefully we can get the win again.
"[Even though we did get the win], we still missed Tino out there last week.
"Everyone knows how he plays. He leads from the front and he's always putting his actions forward so, of course we missed him out there last week and it's good to have him back this week."
