"Tough times don't last, tough people do and stand up and learn from their mistakes."
This is the rally cry from Gold Coast Titans leader, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui before one final battle at Cbus Super Stadium this Sunday afternoon.
In a week focused on celebrating Titans Members and fans, it is those that have ridden the wave all year that are at the forefront of the Titans skippers' mind.
"We just want to put a smile on our fans face and make sure we get the win for them but also for us too," Fa'asuamaleaui said.
"It has been a while since I have got one too but I really want one.
"We are very determined to right the record (against the Knights), we didn't perform well last time and we want to get that right to get that win."
The Titans are last-start winners at home but Fa'asuamaleaui missed the occasion due to the birth of his second child, so it has added additional fuel to the front rowers fire.
"It did hurt (missing the Titans win over the Sea Eagles), I was thinking I was playing for Burleigh the next week," Fa'asuamaleaui quipped.
"We don't want to be on the bottom and get the wooden spoon so we need to approach it at 100% and get a couple of wins to finish the season.
"Our Members are so important to us.
"It has been tough on them too this year and we are really dissapointed that we let them down and we want to get a couple of wins for them to put a smile on their faces."
The Titans hold extra motivation going into the match after a poor showing against the Knights in round 16.
"That is what got us last time, their middles," Fa'asuamaleaui said.
"We have got to take that personally as that was an embarrassing game for ourselves and myself."
Fa'asuamaleaui says 2022 hasn't been an easy ride but he has learnt a lot on the journey.
"100% it hasn't been easy at all - as the Captain of the Club and the leader you think it is all your fault and parts of it probably are but it is a learning curve for me to become a better leader and better player," he said.
"You grow as a captain and as a person and you learn from these things."
With the NRLW side also playing their only game at home for the 2022 season, Fa'asuamaleaui said there was strong motivation across the whole club.
"It would be massive for us to win because there has been a lot of change with our defensive system and to get that right heading into next year it will help but I want the girls to win and I want us to win and that would be massive for the fans and Members, so that is the goal to leave them with a big smile," he said.
