Titans grow through personal development opportunities

Throughout the 2023 pre-season, Titans coaching staff have supported the playing group to undertake scheduled personal development time in the training schedule.

Each week on a Tuesday, players would have wrestle and then recovery at North Burleigh Beach; with the Surf Lifesaving Club then providing an environment upstairs in their where players could undertake study after training.

The personal development allocated time also allowed for players to have career discussions and explore their options to develop a career action plan to help with their transition out of the game in years to come.

Players had the choice of study, work or community work.

A group of players enjoyed visiting Wacol Detention Centre on a regular basis, where players interacted with the youth. Kalwun’s youth program was also a preferred community program for players to engage with Indigenous youth.

By implementing the Personal Development Program, it helped increase off-field engagement and ensured players have a balanced life both on and off the field.
