Titans on show in Theatre Sports

The Gold Coast Titans have participated in the popular Theatre Sports workshops, aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of a range of important social issues.

Whilst attending the club's pre-season camp on the Sunshine Coast, alll players and staff from the NRL squad took part in an interactive THiNK ABOUT iT theatre sports session; covering themes such as mental health, illicit drugs, social media, toxic masculinity and respect for women.

Along with the actors, David Solomona from the NRL provided the educational piece at the end of each scene.

The first scene saw a couple of rookies up in Alofiana Khan Pereira and Tony Francis, who giggled their way through the scene.

Toby Sexton and Brian Kelly excelled in the respectful relationships scene and certainly handled the situation well.

Dave Fifita and Phillip Sami were on a podcast which tested their ability to not give to much away in a relaxed podcast experience - Fifita came out on top on in this one.

Players and staff enjoy this type of workshop as it puts them in uncomfortable situations they need to think on their feet and navigate the tricky topics but educating them at the same time.

The workshop is funded by the NRL and facilitated by THiNK ABOUT iT group.
