NRL 2023: Titans, Trial 1 team: Big names headline Titans first hit-out against Broncos

The Gold Coast Titans won't be short of talent for the opening weekend of the NRL Pre-Season Challenge with a number of heavy hitters set to line-up against the Brisbane Broncos at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Led at the front by David Fifita who is the Coast's most experienced inclusion for the first game of 2023, the hulking back-rower will start alongside a formidable forward pack that includes Jaimin Jolliffe, Joe Stimson and Erin Clark.

Jayden Campbell will wear the No. 1 jersey for the clash with Toby Sexton and Tanah Boyd partnering each other in the halves, shooting out to become Kieran Foran's right hand man for next month's season opener.

Chris Randall will get his first opportunity at dummy-half with new recruit Sam Verrills held back for next week's major trial against the Dolphins; whilst Canterbury import Aaron Schoupp will also play his first game as a Titan, alongside Phillip Sami in the centres.

Whilst fellow Gold Coast big names Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, AJ Brimson, Kieran Foran, Beau Fermor and Isaac Liu will also be rested for the weekend, a number of exciting young talents are set to be unleashed against the M1 rivals.

This includes Alofiana Khan-Pereira who is set to start on the wing, and Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, Tom Weaver, Keano Kini and Josiah Pahulu who will all be injected into the contest from the interchange bench.
