Late mail: Stimson to start as Titans blood five club debutants
Titans recruit Joe Stimson will start in the second row; one of five players making their club debuts in the Titans' season opener against the Tigers.
Coach Justin Holbrook has confirmed the 85-game forward will fill the hole left by Beau Fermor - who was ruled out with a devastating ACL injury on Thursday - with versatile utility Sam McIntyre coming onto the pine to complete the reshuffle.
Aaron Schoupp, Kieran Foran and Sam Verrills will join Stimson in making their first official NRL appearance for the Gold Coast after the quartet moved north over the off-season; meanwhile Titans junior Alofiana Khan-Pereira is ready and raring for his first grade debut, set to star on the left wing after scoring an incredible 31 tries over the past 12 months.
