Moe Fotuaika doesn't want to look too far ahead, but there is a certainly a burning desire to be back wearing Maroon for this year's Origin series.
The four-game Queensland star missed out on 2022 after easily being one of the shining lights in the year previous, but a stellar start to this season since becoming a regular starter for the Titans has put the 23-year-old right back into the spotlight for Billy Slater to consider in just over a month's time.
Whilst the 106-gamer just wants to just focus on continuing to play good footy for the Titans, in the back of his mind is running out for Game I in Adelaide later this year.
"I think every player that plays footy and can be selected for the Origin arena definitely wants to play in that and that's the same for me," Fotuaika said.
"I definitely want to get back in that arena, but I'm just really focusing on my role here at the Titans and from playing good footy here, I'm sure everything else will take care of its own."
Averaging 145 running metres, two offloads and an incredible work rate in defence in his first six games for the Gold Coast, it's been a stellar start to the season for Fotuaika, who took plenty away from last Saturday's outing against the Broncos, despite missing out on the two competition points.
"All the boys are still pretty upbeat even though we got the loss," he said.
"I thought we set up the first half really well, but obviously it's an 80 minute game and we weren't as good in the second half.
"I think we can take some confidence out of that going into Redcliffe and hopefully we can play for the whole 80 minutes this week."

Round 8 -
home Team
Dolphins
5th Position
away Team
Titans
12th Position
Venue: Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
The Titans prop knows how important staying in the fight for the whole contest will be in this weekend's new Queensland derby, especially with how the Dolphins have played for one another through their first seven games.
"Redcliffe have been playing really well this year," Fotuaika said.
"You can definitely see their team work hard for one another and I think that's a big task for us for this weekend, we have to get up for it and we definitely have to work hard for one another.
"They're a team that plays for the whole 80 minutes and just complete their sets."
