NRL 2023: Titans, Late mail: Titans make bench switch for kingdom takedown

Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui will make his fifth NRL appearance when the Titans take on the Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium this afternoon.

The only change from the 1-17 named on Tuesday, the 21-year-old young brother of captain Tino comes in for Erin Clark who has failed to overcome a finger injury he sustained in last Sunday's Magic Round win over the Knights.

Hoping to break a seven-year drought with the Gold Coast having not won in Newcastle since Round 24, 2016; there will extra motivation to lift and break the Hunter Valley hoodoo with David Fifita celebrating his 50th Titans appearance in the clash - the barnstorming back-rower hoping to continue his good form to cement a Queensland Maroons call-up on Monday week.

Another player full of desire to get the two points is Chris Randall, who ventures to his old stomping ground in new colours to face the team he debuted with for the first time since joining the Titans at the start of the 2023 season.
