Affiliate wrap: Bears take top spot after Mackay dominance
The Burleigh Bears are the outright ladder leaders in the Hostplus Cup after a commanding 42-6 win over the Mackay Cutters on Saturday.
Helped by a Jacob Alick double, the 23-year-old was impressive again with 137 running metres, two line breaks and four tackle breaks to compliment his defensive effort of 22 tackles without a miss.
Titans development flyer Tony Francis topped the run metres tally with 210 as well as a bagging a four-pointer and Ken Maumalo was also up there with 192 metres.

Winning seven from their first eight games to continue their ascendency under new coach Luke Burt, they'll next face the Clydesdales at Pizzey Park on Saturday.
For Tweed, it was a different story as the Seagulls went down to the Magpies 20-14 in a tough gritty affair in Logan.

Despite leading at the break 14-10, it was all one way traffic to the home side in the second 40, scoring two unanswered tries to seal victory.
