Whilst the Titans may have been hit with a selection predicament among the spine and forwards, one area of the roster that has flourished has been the outside backs.
Giving Justin Holbrook selection headaches each week on who to leave out with seven genuine options to fill only four roles, it's an extremely healthy problem to have to tackle each week.
With the Titans coach expecting to make a backline switch this weekend due to the this - seeing Alofiana Khan-Pereira rested and Aaron Schoupp coming in to face his former side, Holbrook has refused to say sorry for the change given the immense breadth of depth that features in his roster.
"I make no apologies... we've got great depth in all positions," he said.
"Earlier in the year, we beat the Dragons without our starting nine, six and one in AJ [Brimson], Foz (Kieran Foran) and Sam Verrills all out injured.
"[The depth] is what we need to win and at the moment and we've got the luxury of all the outside backs fully fit.
"It just happens to be Lofi's turn to freshen up - he's been tremendous for us and has played 10 games straight - and Aaron Schoupp has probably been unlucky to miss out... he's played terrific for Tweed the last couple of games and he deserves to come back in.
"Moving forward, it's someone else's turn to miss out. That's the way we're going to run and as I said, I can't apologise because we need depth everywhere."
In preparation for their Sunday afternoon clash against the Bulldogs, a huge area the side has continued to hone in on this week is defence after conceding 46 points last start against the Knights.
But, it's something the Gold Coast mentor feels will continue to improve over time as players continue to gain more and more experience and key players return to the side.
"It's just a work in progress for us. We did a great job in pre-season and at the season, but we've had some boys like Jimmy Jolliffe, Beau Fermor and Sam Verrills missing who have been some of our best defenders," Holbrook said.
"We showed a little bit of inexperience last week with a couple of kick tries first up that we couldn't defuse, couple of defensive errors on the right and the next minute, drop ball in the in-goal, an intercept try and there's a heaps of points.
"We've just got to stick at it and just keep working hard to improve. The guys will get more experienced and we'll get better as a team and get the results."
This weekend's clash will be a special milestone for halfback Tanah Boyd, who celebrates his 50th NRL appearance - all in Titans colours - after a tough, but tenacious journey to be a consistent first grader.
"It's tremendous for Tanah [to bring up 50 games]. He's been here a few years now and has chipped away," Holbrook said.
"He came here as a half and then transferred into nine and played off the bench and then this year, he's really grabbed it with both hands and he's been terrific for us.
"I'm obviously happy for Tanah to get 50 and there's a lot more ahead."
