Blade inspires at first ever Mascot Games

The first ever Mascot Games was not about winning or losing, but we should tell you that the Titans very own mascot, Blade, did come away as the champion among many true heroes nonetheless.

When The Children's Hospital Foundation launched their very first Sick Kids Giving Day on Thursday 8 June, they said that they 'set the bar high because every kid deserves life saving, ground breaking, hope giving, tide turning healthcare.'

And the response to date has been nothing short of amazing!

It also coincided with the first ever Mascot Games that saw the best of the South East Queensland's sporting team mascots go head to head in a series of challenges.

Thousands of donations have poured in ($266,387 as of writing) along with a plethora of heartfelt messages of support.

For those that missed the day or haven’t been able to donate yet … the Queensland Government will continue to generously double any donations made to the Children’s Hospital Foundation until 30 June. DONATE HERE

Blade was supported in his quest for Mascot Games glory by Titans NRLW star, Evania Pelite who amongst other roles on the day, took time to visit some of the sick children in the hospital, including Fletcher (pictured) who is an avid Titans fan.

The Queensland State of Origin star was only too happy to spend time with many of the children, including Fletcher and help the foundation in their quest for $300,000 in donations.
