Nine Titans celebrate Queensland honours

The Gold Coast Titans are proud to celebrate nine Future Titans being selected for Queensland at the recent state schoolboys championships held in Townsville.

Three rising stars will don the Maroon in July at the National Under 18 titles; meanwhile, six more will wait for their chance to represent their state at the Under 15 carnival in September.

Headlining the Queensland Opens team includes Alex Leapai Jnr - son of professional heavyweight boxer Alex Snr - who attends Mabel Park State High School and recently joined the Titans pathways program as a powerful prop.

Also playing alongside the new recruit is Will Semu who is a talented centre from Marsden State High School as well as Palm Beach Currumbin's Sam Stephenson, who has been a big future prospect to watch in the outside backs.

They'll feature in the week-long carnival held at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe from July 1-8 with full intentions to be selected in the Australian Schoolboys side named at the completion of the championships.

Jai Bilish (Keebra Park SHS), Villiami Fifita (The Southport School), Gazniah To’omaga (Keebra Park SHS), Majah Peachey (Mabel Park SHS), Kalani Patu (Keebra Park SHS) and Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu (Stretton SHS) will all play a part in the Queensland Under 15 side when they travel to Coffs Harbour for the week-long carnival to be held from September 23-29.
