NRL 2023: Titans, Round 21 team: Fifita celebrates super century as heroes aim to overpower chooks

David Fifita is known for being the Titans' modern day Superman and will be looking to possess his powers as he celebrates an important milestone in Round 21 at Cbus Super Stadium.

As part of Warner Bros. Super Hero Saturday, the powerhouse will run out in his 100th NRL appearance against the Roosters, having played 55 games for the Gold Coast after starting his first grade career at the Broncos in 2018.

Expecting to stand up in the absence of Tino Fa'asuamaleaui who will miss the next three matches due to suspension, the captain's omission is one of two personnel changes made by interim head coach Jim Lenihan heading into this Saturday's clash against the Chooks.

AJ Brimson returns to fullback pushing Jayden Campbell to the bench; meanwhile, Joe Stimson also comes back from his mandatory 11-day stand down and will start from the interchange, elevating Erin Clark to lock with Isaac Liu named at prop.

The game will also be a special one for Sam Verrills who faces his former club for the first time moving to the Coast, set to line-up against opposite number Brandon Smith who now occupies his old tri-colours jersey.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday - the second of two games at Cbus Super Stadium.
