NRL 2023: Titans, Locked in: Tino's replacement confirmed for Roosters battle

Isaac Liu will start in the front row against his former club as the Titans' replacement for Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, with the skipper missing the next three weeks following his shoulder charge suspension.

One of three players who have played every game of 2023, the 243-game experienced forward is set to line-up at prop for the first time officially this season, with Erin Clark named to start at lock and Chris Randall offering versatility in the middle third off the bench.

Confirming the 19-man squad ahead of game day, Ken Maumalo, Kruise Leeming and Thomas Mikaele have been cut from the named extended bench, with Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui and Aaron Schoupp remaining in the lead-up to kick-off.

The must-win clash at Cbus Super Stadium will be a big occasion for the Titans in what will be David Fifita's 100th NRL appearance - playing his 56th game for the Gold Coast after starting his career at the Broncos.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday - the second of two games at Cbus Super Stadium.
