Chris Randall will undertake dummy-half duties from the opening whistle as the Titans face the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon at Cbus Super Stadium.

Pushing Sam Verrills to the bench, the No. 9 switch is the only late change made by interim head coach Jim Lenihan in preparation for the must-win clash, with the home side aiming to snap a four-game losing streak and avenge their Round 4 loss to North Queensland in Townsville.

The showdown could be a history-making day for the Gold Coast, with Alofiana Khan-Pereira hoping to break the club's leading try-scorer record - having already scored 17 tries in as many appearances in his rookie season - now only one away from notching up the most four-pointers in a year for the club.

It's a feat he currently holds alongside David Fifita after the forward's dominant first campaign in 2021, with the 21-year-old aiming to become the outright successor of the milestone when he lines up on the wing on Sunday afternoon.
