Phillip Sami says he holds no fear as the Titans come up against the defending premiers, instead he's excited to test himself against the best side over the last few seasons.
The ladder-leading Penrith Panthers will travel to the Gold Coast on Saturday to take on a Titans side that will unleash some fresh blood to finish the year.
Tom Weaver will make his debut at halfback, while in his rookie season Keano Kini will start at fullback with Jayden Campbell moving to five-eighth.
Add Alofiana Khan-Pereira who is also in his rookie NRL season, and the Titans will field an inexperienced backline, making Sami one of the veterans at just 26-years old.
Having arguably his best season of his career, the 107 game winger says the young Titans are ready to perform against the Panthers.
"The Penrith Panthers have been top of the NRL competition for the last three years so obviously it is going to be a big game," Sami said.
"They like to grind you out and play that long game so it's definitely a hard game in front of us but we will take it.
"We can't make too many errors or they will pounce on that and they'll make the most of those opportunities so we need to be on with our game.
"I just think we are going to have to go out there and complete our sets before we play footy."
While AJ Brimson remains a chance of returning to the side as he battles an oblique complaint, Tanah Boyd and Kieran Foran will miss the match through injury.
Sami says while they will be missed, he's excited for the younger squad members to get their chance.
"It's really good, especially for (Tom) Weaver to make his NRL debut, he is a good young kid," Sami said.
"He's been here for like two years now, so watching him come up and now making his debut is cool to see.
"He's a good kid and even better footy player, so I'm happy for him and hopefully he can do the job on Saturday."
After a tough loss away to Cronulla last round, the Titans have two of their last three fixtures at Cbus Super Stadium to round out the year.
"It's good to be back home to play footy in front or our members and family and friends," Sami said.
"We appreciate their support, so yeah we can't wait to get back and perform in front of them."
