Whilst the Titans are disappointed their unbeaten streak came to an end against the Knights, Shaylee Bent feels the loss can be a really good thing for her side.
Part of the Dragons' 2021 team that were the competition heavyweights after only losing one game in that entire season before being undone in the grand final they were expected to win, the 22-year-old knows victories can disguise the need for improvement with her side taking plenty away from their 22-10 defeat on Sunday.
"It's obviously good to win, but you don't want to go the whole season undefeated because you can get complacent and you haven't been put under pressure when it really matters," Bent said.
"Even though it's not a good feeling, I think it's good for us to have a loss so that we can bounce back as a team.
"I think everyone was pretty bummed (about the result), but we're excited to get back into training and prepare for the Roosters."
Facing off against the competition favourites who are currently sitting on top of the NRLW ladder, Bent knows they are stacked full of star-power, but knows her Gold Coast team has just as much talent to takedown the tri-colours.
"They've definitely got all the names and a lot of rep girls in there and they've been gelling really well," she said.
"I've been watching them and they're a quick and agile team, but we know our strengths and I just think if we stick to our game plan, we should go alright.
"We all know how we all play and it's just about how we work as a team to stop them.
"It's the same as them. They've got to try to stop us as well."
The talented forward is also eager to get back home to Cbus Super Stadium after being on the road the past three weeks, knowing how much support there is at home after a strong crowd helped them to a gritty 16-6 win in the season opener last month.
"I think we need it coming off a loss," Bent said.
"I feel like we need the most support we can get and our last game at Cbus was amazing.
"The crowd that came out for us was really good, so it'll be really good."
