The race to this year's Paul Broughton Medal is wide open after a number of standout performers impressed across the 2023 season.
Two-time defending champion Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is again in the mix, with the captain hoping to create history by achieving a feat no Titan has done before - winning the top gong three years in a row.
Gold Coast X-factors AJ Brimson and Jayden Campbell are also expected to poll well in a number of games; but the new year saw the resurgence of David Fifita and Moeaki Fotuaika - with the pair recalled into the Queensland Maroons team and bounced back with strong seasons.
Phillip Sami was unlucky to miss out on an Origin recall, but it's expected he'll gain a number of votes, as will new recruits Kieran Foran and Chris Randall who are vying to be awarded their first Paul Broughton Medal.
Judged from a 3-2-1 vote by the coaching staff at the end of each round, it's expected to be an open contest given the number of strong showings, with the honour named after Broughton who was known as 'the godfather of Gold Coast Rugby League' for his work in establishing the Titans ahead of their inaugural season.
The 2023 winner will be announced next Wednesday night.
