'They mean a lot': How Titans Legion is supporting Pelite in more ways than one

Evania Pelite knows firsthand how important the loyal Legion is to the Titans.

Claiming her second members' MVP honour in as many years recently, not many would know the electrifying fullback also plays a huge part in hearing from some of the club's most passionate supporters each day.

Working in the Titans' consumer team to help with membership enquiries and onboarding, Pelite gets the chance to experience the dedication and love the Gold Coast fan base have for their team.

"It's been good fun just being on the phones and chatting to a lot of our members, which I haven't been able to do in my last couple of seasons," she said.

"Speaking with them, it's great to hear and see how much support, passion and love they have for this club has been really nice to hear.

"Being awarded the members' MVP means a lot to me and our members have played a huge part in our success this year.

"It's also great to know that there's more and more people signing up to become members and follow our journey."

Playing every game of the Titans' season in 2023, the multi-code International was a tackle busting machine - the most of any player in the NRLW this season - which included a record 16 breaks in the season opener against the Cowboys.

A danger anytime the 28-year-old has the ball-in-hand, that was evident with the No. 1 averaging 187 running metres each game, as well as scoring five tries across the season.

Enjoying every minute of the campaign - especially at Cbus Super Stadium - one of her favourite games of the year was the maiden NRLW double header at Cbus Super Stadium, which saw immense support for the Titans heading into the finals.

"The standalone game we hosted was huge," Pelite said.

"Just to see the amount of people that were wanting to come out and watch our girls when there wasn't a NRL our game after us was massive.

"It was extremely rewarding for us to know that there are a lot of people on the Gold Coast that are supporting our NRLW team as well as the NRL and backing us to success."

Having to withdraw from Jillaroos commitments due to a knee injury, it isn't expected to have any impacts heading into 2024, which Pelite will return for her fourth season in Titans colours.
